Cool Logistics Global is the specialist event for the perishables supply chain connecting some of the smartest people in the industry. The conference and exhibition has become the launch pad for new ideas
LONDON, 07.05.2019 – Cool Logistics Resources (CLR) will launch the Cool Logistics ‘Innovation in Perishable Logistics’ Award at the 11th Cool Logistics Global Conference in Valencia 17-19 September 2019.
The Cool Logistics Global Conference has continually offered a platform to new products and services to share innovative ideas, and to continue this we would like to recognize the companies and individuals behind them for their contributions to achieving supply chain excellence involved in the professional handling of temperature-controlled products.
Over the last 10 years, CLR has brought together a wealth of talent intent on stamping their mark on developing perishable supply chains e.g. in 2017 George Ribeiro’s ‘one percent waste reduction target in the cold chain’; in 2015 the official launch of Maersk Lines’ real-time remote monitoring implementation strategy together with AT&T Mobile & Business Solutions; and in 2013, the launch of the Stena Reefer RoRo concept.
The Award is open to anyone involved in perishable logistics – individuals, teams, companies – who have made a difference in the way perishable products are shipped or handled. Award entrants are required to show that a product, idea, solution, process, scheme or other innovation has resulted in significant contribution to improving the efficiency and sustainability of the perishables supply chain.
The winner of the award will be selected by an international panel of stakeholders with an interest in furthering perishable supply chain excellence and presented by the Port of Valencia on 18 September 2019 during the 11th Cool Logistics Global Conference & Exhibition.
The Cool Logistics ‘Innovation in Perishable Logistics’ Award is kindly sponsored by Martico, a leading freight forwarder. Specialists in the management of any type of load at controlled, refrigerated or frozen, Martico covers the entire logistics chain and exports and imports reefers by sea, land and air.
Cool Logistics Global, the annual conference and exhibition for perishables shipping and logistics people, will seek once more to tackle the most important issues facing the global cold chain industry. Bringing key executives together for a high–level debate, the technology workshop on 17 September is followed by a 2-day conference on 18–19 September. The exhibition will highlight latest services and technologies for shippers of temperature-controlled cargoes.
The 11th edition of Cool Logistics has attracted more support than ever before. Sponsors include Valenciaport, Puertos del Estado (Ports of Spain), Emerson Climate Technologies, Globe Tracker, TRAXENS, Wireless Maritime Services (an AT&T subsidiary), Fruit Logistica, Klinge, Kuehne + Nagel, Remant NV, Seacube, Thermo King, DP World London Gateway, Kloosterboer, Martico, Port of Rotterdam, Seaco and Visbeen.
