Meet the speakers

Martin Dixon

Head of Research Products
Drewry and Director, Drewry Group

Martin is Head of Research Products within Drewry and is a director of Drewry Group. He has more than 30 years’ strategic and operational experience in shipping and supply chain management. Martin has followed a wide and varied career in international logistics and maritime intensive supply chains. With an initial background in logistics operations with DHL and London-based department store group Harrods, he broadened into managerial roles in sales and marketing with German forwarding and logistics group DB Schenker, gaining particular exposure to Europe, Middle East and Africa markets.

Juan Andres Ferrari

Director Perishable Supply Chain, ACF Global Sourcing

Juan Andres Ferrari is a professional and entrepreneur with experience in the food Industry, global sourcing, and the perishables supply chain. He is also a supply chain cost savings expert. Juan Andres has experience in food sales strategies, business development and new markets. He has been involved in managing both exports and imports from/to South and Central America, the US, Canada Mexico, Europe, Africa, and Asia. He has extensive experience in global procurement in perishables from production, packing, packaging materials, grower contracts, refrigerated logistics, transportation insurance, credit insurance and customer service. Critically he focuses on creating value through complex multimodal operations and strongly supports in words and action the farm to fork initiative.

Michel Looten

Michel Looten joined Seabury/Accenture in 2013 as Maritime Director.

Michel started his career in 1999 with P&O Nedlloyd. At Maersk Line he was Route Manager Asia Imports for Central Europe. Prior to joining Seabury he was in the chartering department of the agricultural supply chain management company, Cefetra.

Michel holds a M.Sc. in Maritime Economics and Logistics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Andrew Lorimer


Andrew Lorimer is a seasoned executive with 25 years’ experience in the maritime trade information sector and has been the Chief Executive Officer of Datamar for 16 years. He holds an MA in Economics from Heriot Watt University, in Edinburgh, following an education split between Brazil and Scotland.

Datamar is the leading source of information and knowledge on maritime trades in South America, having pioneered data collection systems that form the backbone of its activities. Its systems and information are used by all leading players in the market, including shipping lines, ports, terminals, freight forwarders, exporters, importers and many other segments.

Andrew collaborates on public / private initiatives with Brazilian government entities, to help develop solutions towards issues of cyber-security within the sector, including matters related to increased hacking and ransomware activity as well as illegal access to government databases.

Ole Schack Petersen

Owner, Chairman and Executive Director,
LCL and The Broom Group

Experienced c-level Executive with a strong track-record of growth whilst managing profitability in the international trade, shipping and perishables logistics industry. Strengths are in strategic planning and execution with people leadership skills.

Vast boardroom experience within transport, warehouse, 3PL and SaSS within AI.

Lead investor and Board Member in early start-ups. Assisting founding entrepreneurs in reaching their goals, mentoring on corporate management and finance.

Rachael White

Managing Director, Cool Logistics and Next Level Information

Over 30 years covering global cargo supply chains, shipping, logistics, ports and land transport as a writer, editor, conference producer, emcee and event moderator. Helping corporates, NGOs, event organisers and institutional clients synthesize complex macro and micro trends to make their mark and steer their strategy.

I previously acted as Secretary-General to the Port Equipment Manufacturers Association and headed up the secretariat team for ICHCA International, the global cargo handling association. I also co-own the Cool Logistics conferences, newsletter & blog, bringing together experts from all sides of the business to review trends in global reefer trades & perishable distribution chains from first to the last mile.

Michael Yarwood

Managing Director, Loss Prevention, TT CLUB

Mike is the Managing Director for TT Club’s Loss Prevention Department.  Mike joined TT Club in 2010 as a Claims Executive providing advice to transport operator Members globally, having previously held operation management roles within the logistics industry for 13 years.  Previous roles incorporated full responsibility in terms of budget, legislative, operational and health and safety compliance, including being the nominated dangerous goods safety advisor.

Mike is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Logistics and Transport, a Technical Specialist Member of the Institute of Risk Management and a Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute.  Mike continues to develop strategic relationships with key trade organisations including being a co-opted Member of FIATA’s advisory body legal matters group.
