As traces of Covid-19 are found in Chinese ice cream, questions are once more being asked about the risks of catching the disease from frozen food.  Although the World Health Organisation has advised that the possibility of catching Covid-19 from frozen food is low, China has stepped up frozen food import inspections significantly since late 2020, after a truck driver was infected with the disease after handling pork imported from North America, according to Chinese authorities.
