International grocery chain ALDI is deploying an AI-based Intelligent Control Tower and SaaS-based enterprise supply chain platform from One Network Enterprises (ONE) to increase global shipping cost transparency and improve control over goods movement throughout the supply chain.
The control tower will be used by ALDI International Buying Asia to centralise global shipping volume and develop a strategic oceanfreight procurement process. Based in Hong Kong, the unit serves as the company’s global hub to source products from Asia and manage all global oceanfreight operations.
ALDI’s goal in adopting ONE’s NEO supply chain platform is to integrate its global network of logistics partners and suppliers around a single data model, enabling real-time collaboration across its trading partners, workflows and applications.
“We have selected the ONE Control Tower based on the depth of its capabilities and its ability to manage our freight end-to-end. We are confident that the solution can handle the complexities of our supply chain, starting with overall visibility and collaboration,” said Fritz Walleczek , managing director of ALDI International Buying Asia.
