Tom Bouwens is an agro-logistics expert working for the Flying Swans Programme. With over 15 years’ experience in fresh produce trade and agro-development in Ethiopia, he is an expert in accessing new sourcing areas together with a produce importing sector. In 2020 he played a key role in organising Ethiopia’s first rail-borne reefer shipment of avocados and will be updating us on this ground-breaking project.
Martin Dixon is Head of Research Products within Drewry and is a director of Drewry Group. He has more than 30 years’ strategic and operational experience in shipping and supply chain management. Martin has followed a wide and varied career in international logistics and maritime intensive supply chains and will be providing insight on reefer market conditions with a particular focus on the Middle East.
