An Italian consortium led by contractor Webuild has won the contract to build a new breakwater for the Port of Genoa. The €928m (£810m) project, called Nuova Diga Foranea, will involve building the breakwater offshore to allow the port to operate uninterrupted. It is the most ambitious upgrade to the port for 25 years.
