How can post harvest operations reduce food waste?

Food waste is big news. On day 2 of Cool Logistics Global 2021 our panel discussed how to prolong fresh produce quality. Andy Connell moderated our panel and was joined by Deirdre Holcroft of Holcroft Postharvest Consulting and Eelke Westra of Wageningen University. In order to tackle food waste efficiently, the entire food chain must be considered. In addition, consumers should be aware of their food waste. Logistics providers need to understand what happens at the farm level.
