Huge growth expected in Chinese refrigerated transport

Day two of Cool Logistics Global took place online on 20 October. Our focus was on global ports and refrigerated transport and our theme was ‘Cool Ports and Cold stores: Integrated Perishable hubs of the future’. We heard from Johannes Nanninga of Guangzhou Port, representing Port of Nansha, who spoke about the trends in the Chinese market. There are huge changes in consumer behaviour and growth in both exports and imports of perishables. Therefore Chinese refrigerated transport could grow by 100% in 2025.  Capt. Paul J. Gallie of A.P. Moller Capital discussed investment into ports in developing countries.  Ole Schack-Petersen of Broom Group outlined the company’s services. Anne Saris of Port of Rotterdam spoke about the growth of agrofood and cold storage at the port.
