It is reported that in the UK alone, food waste is responsible for an estimated 36 million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) every year, according to a climate action charity.

The race by supermarkets to remove ‘best before ‘dates could not only help consumers save money, but it could also prevent food waste.
