Walmart puts Canada’s biggest multi-temperature reefer on the road

Walmart Canada fleet has put its first 60-foot (18-metre) multi-temperature refrigerated trailer into service

Walmart Canada fleet has put its first 60-foot (18-metre) multi-temperature refrigerated trailer into service: the first of its kind for Walmart in North America.

The custom-built multi-temp refrigerated trailer allows Walmart to ship freight more efficiently and reduce C02 emissions.

MSC AINO loads record number of live reefers

MSC operations director, Captain Ian Rosario, said it took port workers a total of seven days to load a record 2 099 containers, containing 63 million kilograms of mainly citrus fruit destined for several ports in Europe

Carrier Transicold’s EverFRESH® active controlled atmosphere (CA) system for refrigerated containers now offers a new carbon dioxide (CO2 ) injection option to better preserve the full range of perishable cargo, including low-respiring cargo.

The new option allows the container to be pre-charged with CO2 at the start of a voyage and automatically adds more as needed over the course of the trip.
