Over the last 10 years, Cool Logistics has brought together a wealth of talent intent on stamping its mark on developing perishable supply chains. For example, George Ribeiro’s ‘one percent waste reduction target in the cold chain’ in 2017, the official launch of Maersk Lines’ real-time remote monitoring implementation strategy together with AT&T Mobile & Business Solutions in 2015, and the launch of the Stena Reefer RoRo concept in 2013.
Cool Logistics has continually offered a platform to new products and services to share innovative ideas, and to continue this we would like to recognize the companies and individuals behind them for their contributions to achieving supply chain excellence involved in the professional handling of temperature-controlled products.
This is how the idea was born to launch the Cool Logistics ‘Innovation in Perishable Logistics’ Award, which will be presented at the 11th Cool Logistics Global Conference in Valencia, 17-19 September 2019.
The winner of the award will be selected by an international panel of stakeholders with an interest in furthering perishable supply chain excellence.
The Award is kindly sponsored by Martico, a leading freight forwarder. Specialists in the management of any type of load at controlled, refrigerated or frozen, Martico covers the entire logistics chain and exports and imports reefers by sea, land and air.
Award entrants are required to show that a product, idea, solution, process, scheme or other innovation has resulted in significant contribution to improving the efficiency and sustainability of the perishables supply chain.

Anyone involved in perishable logistics – individuals, teams, companies – who have made a difference in the way perishable products are shipped or handled.
