Ronald Veldman is Maritime Business Analyst for Seabury Cargo Advisory where he is responsible for market studies, consulting projects, and the development of new business intelligence offerings to the greater transportation market. He published studies on the effects of West Coast port congestion on sea and air cargo markets as well as the changing relation between GDP and global trade. In his role, he has been responsible for market insights presented at number of leading Maritime conferences, including client events for three of the top 10 global freight forwarders.
Prior to joining Seabury, Mr. Veldman gained experience in the maritime industry at one of the largest shipbuilding companies in the Netherlands. He also assisted ABN AMRO Bank’s global shipping division and worked part-time for his family’s inland shipping business. Mr. Veldman holds a master’s degree in Business Economics from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
